Lettering Works at Women's Small Business and Entrepreneur Expo in Chicago
Chicago City Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin hosted a one-day expo for all women small business owners and entrepreneurs at the UIC Forum on Saturday, November 16th from 9am-3pm. There were breakout sessions, a lunchtime fireside chat, and over 100 vendors set up to share their services with aspiring and established business owners alike. Lettering Works was one of the 100+ businesses set up as a resource to other female business owners in the community. We debuted our new print ads and talked to many women who could benefit from our branding and custom design services.
Our booth was outfitted with lots of color thanks to our newly designed and printed advertisements. We choose to print our new postcards with Moo because of their print-finity feature. It allowed us to demonstrate a wide range of designs on one side of the card while ensuring everyone left with the same information (as the back side was the same on all cards). We also sprinkled a handful of stickers and buttons around the table to show the variety of materials our vectorized designs could be printed on.
We were excited to participate in our first B2B vendor event and spread the word about our services to other female business owners in the Chicago community. Our brightly decorated table got a lot of positive feedback and we are hopeful to connect with some of the many women who were interested in utilizing our custom design and branding services.
It was fun to create a booth that stood out from the crowd - we even made it into ABC 7’s new clip on the event for a few seconds. You can watch the clip from ABC 7 here.
