Holiday Open House Design Reimagined

Lettering Works embraces the intersection of art and strategy. We’re known for our clean, vibrant, and art-forward aesthetic and wouldn’t want it any other way. Graphic design is more than making something visually pleasing, but also something that communicates effectively.

We enjoyed working on this piece for Pure Bliss Hair Studio in Peoria, Illinois because we got to get creative and simplify the message they were trying to convey. Owner Susan came to us wanting to update her promotional graphics for her annual Holiday Open House. She was ready to invest in professional design because her studio location changed and she wanted to be sure to get her target clients’ attention.

After creating the new design, we chatted with Susan about her experience. She said that she chose to work with Lettering Works because she “really likes the style of the work we do - it’s original and fun.” Susan felt that we “made it super easy and asked great questions.” In creating this promotional design we worked with Susan to clearly define her goals and condense her message down to the essentials to allow for the greatest opportunity to incorporate compelling visuals. We emphasized to her that additional information could easily be included in any online event descriptions and captions.

When asked why other business owners should hire a designer, Susan shared that “Lettering Works worked within her budget and took the concepts she had and brought them to life.” She found that outsourcing the design work helped bring her ideas to life while making time for her to do other things that are required of her as a business owner.

What do you think about the changes we made? We believe that the quality of design work should match the quality of the service a business is providing.
