The Billboard Bistro Logo

New owners, Debbie and Randy Bassette, purchased Bartonville’s “The Local” bar and restaurant with plans to transform it into a more upscale bistro. They approached Lettering Works to create a new brand showcasing the new name and vibe. The Billboard Bistro - named for the giant billboard that stands taller than the restaurant - got an internationally-inspired look as the result of the project aligning with my trip to London earlier this year. London has so much intentional design and quality signage that it was easy to find inspiration and create something that the Peoria area hasn’t seen.

The Billboard Bistro is now open in Bartonville and located at 801 McKinley Ave - a short drive from Peoria’s Warehouse District. The Journal Star featured them in an article earlier this year. Be sure to give them a like on Facebook and support this new locally, family-owned business.
