Inspiration from England (2024)

Our recent trip to England was dedicated to celebrating our recent marriage and taking the Midwest Wedding Tour abroad to spend time with some friends and family. Highlights of the trip included:

  • Exploring London’s Shoreditch neighborhood, Leadenhall Market, Spitafields Market, Lake Street Arches, and the Sky Garden.

  • Seeing the Book of Mormon at the Prince of Whales Theatre, perusing the Museum of the Home, and catching an indie concert at The Old Blue Last.

  • Stumbling upon the Cheez It Experience as they launched in the UK.

  • Eating at Dishoom (twice) and grabbing cocktails at 🔸🔵🔻(a bar with shapes for a name).

  • Traveling by train between London, Liverpool, and Huddersfield.

  • Visiting our friends Amanda and Tom in St. Helens, joining them and their friends for Pub Quiz, enjoying homemade breakfasts, and even a day trip to Whales with a quick tour of Chester.

  • Riding an old steam train between Llangollen and Berwyn in Whales and taking a scenic walk to Horseshoe Falls.

  • Thrifting in Liverpool, enjoying baked goods at the Albert Docks, and popping into the Tate art museum.

  • Sharing lots of laughs with our family Jacki and John in their lovely home in Huddersfield over lamb enchiladas and a few games of cribbage.

  • Taking a walk around Cannon Hall, trying locally made ice milks and pork pies, and enjoying a nice meal at a local Indian restaurant.

After a lovely trip to England, I’m feeling inspired, refreshed, and ready to take on new creative work. Have a project you’d like to chat about?
